Hey my Majessties!
So I've been pretty absent from all social media sites for the last couple days and that's because I have been in San Francisco! I went to meet up with two of my best friends I met a few years ago and it was so much fun.
I was there from Thursday night to Tuesday afternoon so, I basically know everything about San Fran. Obviously.
We hadn't seen each other since November so it was definitely nice to catch up and just talk about what's happening in our American teenage lives. Now that all of us will be in college next year, that was basically a constant conversation topic. But it is always fun to see them and explore a city I have never been to before.
Starting off, the flights were pretty long but luckily I had the window seats both ways. On the way to California, there was an older woman next to me with a businessman on the aisle. And as per usual, she was texting, rather slowly might I add, a friend before we departed so I read over her shoulder. Give me a break, I was already bored. Anyway, I think she thought the businessman and I were together and ordered the aisle and window hoping nobody would sit in between us. Uhmmm, no. There was also crazy turbulence going to CA. But the excitement of landing and seeing those two dorks made the flight slightly more bearable.
So, the first day, we toured the city. We saw the major sites and drove down Lombard Street (that's that really turny road) and went up to Twin Peaks to see the whole view of the city. Needless to say, it was a little breezy up there. And of course, we did some shopping. We had sushi for dinner and it was one of those places where you take the sushi off of the boats! Finally, we ended the night at a pool eating macaroons.
The next day, we had high tea. There is a back story behind this. One of my friends, the one who lives in CA loves high tea and since this was here hosting time, we went to the fanciest hotel and ate scones and desserts to our hearts' content. Of course, no matter how fancy the place was, we were our usual immature selves.
Then, we went on a ferry to go under the Golden Gate Bridge and see Alcatraz. This one was for me. After having such a feminine morning, going to see a prison really lightened the mood.
And we finished off the day by having a nice french dinner with mussels. Of course, they had to recreate a photo taken when we first met two years ago.
Sunday, we checked out UC Berkeley and my friends high school and got some frozen yogurt. But Rita's is definitely better. Then we saw the movie Neighbors. And let me tell you, Zac Efron? Wheww.
For the last day, we channeled our inner children and went to the kids science museum to go to the tactile dome (A passageway of tunnels and slides in complete darkness). The girls definitely made their fear known with the abundance of language used so it was mortifying later when we found out the other people could hear us. Not the best moment. Then we ended the day hanging out on the pier and just talking.
It was really hard to leave each other the next day but we know that we will see each other soon. It's weird because I can't see my life without them but we only just met two years ago on a summer program!
Enjoy!
Love you crazy girls,
Jess
