70 and Sunny

Hey my majessties,

This blog is just going to be a recap of this last weekend. It was a pretty busy one but it was so much fun so I thought I would share what I did.

FRIDAY - On Friday, Katie and I went to a Brett Eldredge concert. Now, after what happened Thursday, it was a nice turn of events. He was amazing and the music was really good. Katie now cannot stop playing his music and following him on any social media site there is. The venue was this place called The Music Farm. It was a large room with a lot of rustic charm and comfort. Because it was general admission, we got super close to the stage...and the speakers. By the time the concert finished, we were naturally yelling and my voice had somehow gone up an octave. But it was definitely worth it and we had a blast.

SATURDAY - Saturday was a pretty relaxed day but I did get to see Dara! She had come up from Emory for a track meet so I went to the Field House and hung out with her after her event. It was so nice to see a face from home, no matter how short the visit was. And since she is only three hours away, more trips to see each other will definitely be happening.

SUNDAY - Sunday was the reason for the title of this post. On February 8th, it was 70 degrees and sunny down here in the south. So Delaney, Katie and I woke up (a little later than planned) and went to Congaree National Park for some fresh air. And apparently we were not the only ones with this idea. After getting back, most of my Instagram and Facebook feeds were of pictures from the park. It was just too beautiful of a day to not go outside.

We found this massive tree cut down. Challenge Accepted.

The rest of this week has been pretty relaxed with homework and staying focused being the primary focus but this weekend is close so who knows!

Enjoy!
Jess
