Get Over Yourself

Hey my Majessties,

So, this is going to be a short but long overdue post sparked by a simple conversation I had at school. And it was between myself and a few underclassmen. And this shows how downhill the kids after us are heading.

The snarky attitudes and the disrespectful comments towards, not just me, but teachers and adults is shocking. In earlier generations, kids knew who was in charge and they followed them. Sure, they knew when someone had gone over the line but they did not try to prove their rudeness and careless attitude. Nowadays, kids are quick to judge and fight someone for a simple comment. Learn some manners, why don't ya. Well, I am going to tell those kids a shocking truth; wait until you are not a big fish in a little pond. You will get swallowed up. And it's sad to see. My generation will be running the country some day and it's hard to see how people who have no control over their own actions will control a country.

I realize that sometimes you can't help saying something kind of out-of-line but doing it just for the heck of showing off to your friends is useless and disappointing.

I am not trying to make this a negative post, but it just resonated with me. I try to keep a positive attitude and ignore the bad moments but sometimes, something just puts you over the edge.

And honestly, I cannot wait to leave high school simply to get away from the immature minds that plague the hallways.

Jess.
