Hey my Majessties,
So, it's official, I've committed to a college! I am now a University of South Carolina Gamecock! And while my dad may not be too excited about the mascot, I am so ready to move on from high school.
Seriously though, finally deciding is just the biggest weight off of your shoulders. And it was really weird how I finally decided. I had just visited there and the other school that was in the running and I was so confused. Both were great in their own ways and I had no idea which school was more "me". I know, corny but whatever. Go with me here.
What actually helped me decide was talking to a few people from both schools. One girl I had met at the other school and she helped me realize it was okay to not go there just because of the few nice people i met while there. The people was probably the main reason I was still considering that school.
On the other hand, I talked to a girl who was in a very similar situation as I was, same schools and all. We just talked about what we liked about USC (not University of Southern California, we were a school before they were a state) and it was so nice to hear it out loud all the things I loved and was excited to experience there. That finally sold it for me. And telling my friend from the other college was sad but I promised, I would visit. Heck yes. So just remember, talking it out can really help you make a decision.
And now comes the real part: housing, roommates, and shopping. Oh yeah, it's gonna start happening rull soon. Excuse my attempt at cool language.
I just wanted to keep the blog informed, as I've been stinking at posting lately. I'll try harder, I promise. And congrats to the other seniors who have committed or will commit! It's our time now!
Go Gamecocks!
Jess
