So, I don't know about everyone, but my spring break starts this coming week. And it feels like it's been forever since I was off from school. Seriously, if you think about it, the third marking period has been spread out over four months while the fourth will be a month and a half. All because of Mother Nature and her stupid love for snow. I got it at the time, snow days were great, but now that we've been in school for so long since winter break, I've realized we ended up getting the short end of the stick.
Obviously we're better off than the underclassmen though. They have to go basically another month after the seniors finish. It's a good year to be senior.
Moving on, so along with the wait for spring break to arrive, senioritis has now come into full force.
First of all, getting up every day is just plain torture. Doesn't the school realize that I have no desire to take AP French at 7:30? I mean, I'm barely thinking in English at that point so French is a whole other issue.
And going through the day acting like you care about the paper mâché project you're working on or the interpretation of the title sequence for Hamlet is just draining. I take a nap every day. No judging allowed.
I just have to remember: Only 64 days until graduation. 34 school days until prom. 40 school days until graduation. Yes, I have a countdown.
But let's focus on what's more important. The fact that in just a few more school days, I will have a week to let go. Deep breaths.
Except for the crap load of homework my math teacher is giving us...And the frustration starts again. Even deeper breaths.
Enjoy!
Jess
