Is Anyone Still Here?

Hey my Majessties,

I know, I officially fail as a blogger. But, you do have to give me some leeway. I have been so busy this summer with going on vacation with my family and packing for college that blogging has not been at the forefront of my mind. And so, I am now going to try to get back into the swing of things.

Now that I am finally moved into my dorm and have met people, I can really say that I am enjoying college. I can't give a full review just yet because I haven't had the opportunity to join any clubs yet and classes just started last Thursday but I can tell you that high school is so last year.

The people are cooler, the teachers are more relaxed, and there are more food options. I know the last one is cheesy but the options at my high school really lacked so the different places to get food is a nice breath of fresh air. Even though I am trying to keep the freshman 15 from claiming me as another victim, I could see where there could be issues. I mean our main dining hall has Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut all within a small space. And there is a Starbucks on the lower level.

However, when it comes to my university, just walking to class can help keep the dangers of calories far from you. Everyday I have to take a fifteen minute walk, each way, to at least one class because it is on the other side of campus. And everyday seems to be boiling hot. Seriously. I ask myself what I have done to myself almost everyday. People in the Northeast, you do not know how good we had it.

Now, I realize that almost this whole blog has been about food but what else is there really to talk about? What else matters?

Moving on, one night we went to a late movie at the Student Union and Divergent was playing. Let me tell you, I have not shut up about Theo James since. Ask my roommates. Possible new favorite movie? And the next one comes out in March.

So as this rant continues, you may want to grab a snack or something because I think this will be one of my longest blogs. You know, to catch up on all the months I have missed. And I really am sorry for that. Whoops!

Ok, next topic. I'm gonna talk about my roomies. My actual roommate, Katie, is from Georgia and she and I get along really well. Some how, they picked two girls who have eerily similar senses of humor although she doesn't like when I start singing out loud. She does enjoy how much I talk in my sleep though. Like just now, she told me that last night I bolted up in bed freaked out for some reason. I have no idea why I do this but she better get used to it if we will be living with each other for the next nine months.

On the other hand, I think my suite mate Delaney gets embarrassed by us. Maybe it's because we awkwardly interrupt her conversations with her boyfriend. Oh well, she always laughs quietly. At least that is what we tell ourselves while we slowly ruin her relationship. Just joking, hopefully.

But I think the three of us together are Snap, Crackle and Pop. We haven't actually given ourselves that title but I think it is fitting. We just work together so well. And I know they would think that is totally awkward when they read this, but who cares.

We keep trying to broaden our friend group but, seriously, who ever feels like being social? You know you are just going to have an awkward conversation with a stranger about the food on campus. And somehow I have brought this back to the food.

But no matter what, we are the kinds of friends who have random dance parties at 2 in the morning on a school night. Oh yeah. Who needs frat parties when you have before voice-drop Cody Simpson? Answer: Nobody.

So, I think this has been a pretty sufficient catch-up session but I swear I will try to blog more because I will have more of a schedule than I have for the last couple months.

Enjoy!
Jess
